The location of the hotel was fantastic, with breathtaking views of the port and the town. the bedroom was well equipped and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep. the staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. the hotel itself was clean and well furnished, with lovely areas to relax in. Our favorite part was the breakfast on the rooftop terrace, which offered a plentiful and varied buffet spread, including delicious coffee.
We felt very welcome during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

Only 2 staff member were nice w us.
Check in was terrible without any explanation we felt lost. Not sure we will reccomende this hotel to anyone. They offered to us a complimentary dinner but we had to pay for 1 bottle of water and the wine also. What a joke!

We booked an 'apartment' and it was very close to the main st in town and only a 10min walk from ferry port (actual hotel is further away from centre). Apartment was roomy with small fridge, couch, two small balconies & large bathroom. Our room was on the second top-most floor so we had views over the town. Wifi was good.
Do NOT book the apartment wanting to be able to cook your own meals. There is a microwave, bar fridge & electric cooktop, but NO cooking utensils (ie pots, pans, etc). A few knives & forks and thats literally it. Breakfast (served back at the hotel) was the worst we've had in Italy. No fresh juice, fresh fruit or eggs. Staff forgot to pick us up at the port, despite numerous emails to confirm ferry arrival time, and no apology either. Calls itself a 4 star hotel - but we've had far better service, amenities and food at 3 star hotels.

Hotel Villa Melingunis is extremely central in the village but very quiet. The staff couldn't do enough for you. If staying here you have to have a meal up on their roof top restaurant. The food was lovely and the view was amazing and staff couldn't do enough for you. Spotless clean good air condition. If your budget can afford it book it
One of the best hotels i have stayed in a very long time. Just a little hard to find. get directions from hotel when u arrive there. There is 2 small ports that the boats come into, one is a good 10 minute walk from Hotel

I gotta say, the value for money at Villa Meligunis was fantastic! Our junior suite with balcony had amazing town and sea views. The location was spot on, just steps away from Marina Corta and close to great restaurants. The staff treated us so well, from providing a packed breakfast for our early departure to giving us access to the hotel swimming pool. Loved it!

Breakfast terrace. Good wifi.
Everything else. Separate building not close to hotel. Bare concrete stairs. Hardly any light. Kitchen but no cutlery, plates or anything to cook with. Lonely.

We were pleasantly surprised by the tranquil and classy atmosphere at Villa Meligunis. The friendly and helpful staff, especially Anna at reception, went above and beyond to accommodate us when we had noisy neighbors. The view from the swimming pool and restaurant terrace was absolutely stunning, especially during a storm. The spacious rooms and excellent bathrooms added to our comfortable stay. It was the perfect location to start our trip to the mystical majesty of Stromboli. we highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel arranged a free taxi upon leaving
Would have liked the free taxi upon arrival too. We were charged 20 euro for the damaged room pass. This was unfortunate as it was a thin piece of plastic easily damaged and we were unaware of this condition, though staff told us it was written on the back of the card, but who is going to read it??they need more durable cards.

They offered us a room in the hotel instead of the appartment we booked, so no kitchen, but breakfast in the same building. Amazing view from the rooftop terrace.

The sea view from the pool area was stunning and the breakfast had a wide variety of options. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.
The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some renovation. the location was a bit far from the main town area, making it difficult to walk to attractions.

we stayed in studio accommodation near the hotel. This was generous in size, quiet and clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
the serving staff seemed to be overworked.

The annex was fantastic with painted ceiling and was spacious and airy. Centraly located, combined with the use of the hotel facilities and a buffet breakfast could not be bettered.
It would have been nice just to have an electric kettle and some cups, just to make tea or coffee on arrival and first thing in the morning. For some reason the internet connection there was not possible a small niggle since it was ok in the hotel
